The former trade unionist and now Minister of Health, Andrew Little, has quietly reintroduced the twice-defeated Natural Health Products Bill. He’s sneaking it through Parliament and into law while we are traumatised and distracted by pandemics, supply-chain crises and the threat of all-out war in Europe.
Under the new laws, we will not be permitted to make health claims for a natural product such as cinnamon unless it is “approved” and at great cost to get that approval. Making unauthorised health claims will be at risk of suffering massive punitive fines.
